Government Is Violating The Laws; Not Even Ready To Give A Heed To The Issue; Those Involved In The Forced Disappearance Of Missing Persons Should Be Brought To Justice!

 

Struggle Will Continue Up Until The Justice Is Achieved: Imran Khan and Amna Janjua Addressing On The International Day Of The Missing Persons In Islamabad.

 

Islamabad (Reporter Jasarat): On the International Day of Missing Persons, the relatives of missing persons staged a demonstration under the banner of Defense of Human Rights. At this demonstration the head of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf Imran Khan said that the government is violating the laws by involving in the forced disappearance of the missing persons and the courts will take actions against these violations. The movement for the disappeared persons has ensued and will continue up until the justice is achieved the coming days are full of hopes for the missing persons. Besides Imran Khan those who addressed this demonstration include the chairperson of the women wing of the Defense of Human Rights Ms. Amna Janjua, the relatives of the missing persons, and the female students of Jamia Hafsa (Red Mosque).the demonstrators were holding placards and banners which were saying “we condemn illegal confinements, abduction and torture”, “ we want justice”, “tell us the whereabouts if alive, give us the corpses if dead”, “ please return back our loved ones to us”, and other slogans. Heavy slogans were also chanted at the demonstration against America. Imran khan said that the movement for the recovery of missing persons is proceeding forward and the actions which the courts are taking will culminate in justice for the missing persons. Government is violating the laws and General Musharraf bears the main responsibility of these violations. We hope that the courts will take all possible actions in this matter. He further added that all political parties and civil societies agree that the disappeared persons should get justice and those who are involved in forced disappearance should be brought to justice. He commended the courage of the relatives of disappeared persons who despite of all the threats kept on struggling for the recovery of the missing persons. Amna Masood said that we have not seen any results of our constant appeals and the government and the agencies are not ready to give any heed to the issue of missing persons. She further said that on this International Day we ask the parliament as to what legislature they have promulgated for their own citizens. She said we want our loved ones back to us. The female students of Jamia Hafsa (Red Mosque) said that the supporters of the religion have arisen and every hand which will be raised towards mosques will be amputated. The male youth of the nation is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with their sisters in this movement.
